Where We Were, Where We Are, Where We’re Going

It certainly has been a roller coaster these past two-plus years!

June of 2021 Eden Music and Arts was thrilled to present the art of Cathy Chow and the music of the Michael Udelson Trio.   It was a successful and fun event, we are still getting positive feedback!   We are very thankful for the support of the community sponsors, attendees, and our host and featured sponsor for the venue William D. Hayward Amphitheater,  the Lone Tree Cemetery Association.

Next was a private local event; and following that we had two groups scheduled for the Castro Fall Festival 2021:  Gin House Blues, and the Siena String Quartet.  Then, the unfortunate news that the Fall Festival 2021 had been canceled due to pandemic concerns and local health guidelines.  This was the third event where we had scheduled musical entertainment that was then canceled for pandemic-related reasons.

I have been personally fortunate to perform with many musical organizations in the greater Bay Area this past year; in spite of COVID19 outbreaks, cancellations and postponements, there have been many fulfilling musical moments.   We are counting blessings wherever we can.

When it came time to decide if we would sponsor musical groups to perform at the Fall Festival 2022, there was natural trepidation at planning ahead, and fearing another possible cancellation.

GOOD NEWS!

The 2022 Castro Valley Fall Festival is going forward as planned!   We are sponsoring two groups who will be performing on Saturday, Sept 10:

  • 10:00 - 10:30 a.m.  The Siena String Quartet will perform a mixed playlist of classical, jazz, patriotic and family favorites!

  • 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon the Atrios Jazz Trio will perform a mix of jazz, blues and popular tunes.   They are a fan favorite, and will liven up the main stage area for the community!

We hope to see you at the Castro Valley Fall Festival, Sept. 10 and 11, 2022!
